I began with Procter's in 1956 and, except for eight years living across the state 500 miles, have stayed with them. Founder Bob Procter was my man, and when Jimmy came along, the first class service never wavered. I honestly feel Jimmy and crew have my best interests fueling their honest and excellent service. Most women hate the idea of having to go to the mechanic, I am one of them. Who do you trust? Are they going to see a woman walk in the door and hike the price or tell me something frivolous is needed? I keep myself educated with how much the going hourly rate of a mechanic is, what parts are needed, how much I can get them for, etc. I have men in my family that can do the work on cars, but with Proctor Auto it is worth it to have them do the work. They are honest, keep you updated on what is being done, how much everything is. I feel secure in what they say and the work they do.

I am a tour operator and had a u joint going out as we passed through town. After reading the reviews from here, we decided to get the work done at Proctor. I quick phone called and they had us scheduled for first thing in the morning. The shop was very clean and organized and the staff absolutely AMAZING!!!!! They got my van in at 8am and our by 9:30 fixed and us back on the road! I can't praise this shop high enough for their quick, understanding and professional job! I hope I don't have car trouble again but if I ever do in the Abilene, TX area they will be the first call I make!!! SUPERB JOB!!!!

Excellent service and they stand behind their work. Had a fan blower replaced and the part failed within a couple of weeks. They replaced it at no charge. This is the type of place anyone wants to do business with. They are always friendly and helpful and will find the best way to solve your problem. Highly recommend.

Consistently Good Called late Monday afternoon & made appointment for a State inspection; got there early Wednesday morning; and, was back on the way to work within the hour. I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service; from the phone call through completion of work, these guys are super nice, polite & honest.

Good customer service Jimmy and crew are always helpful and informative. Their knowledge and honesty allows us to trust them completely. We have used Procter for 12 or 13 years. They have stood by their work each time. We have always been completely satisfied with their work.

So far I made an appointment, took the car in at 7:30am, was told it would be same day diagnostics (Was not expecting it to be fixed same day-Only a call as to what was needing done), was promised I would receive a call back. No call. Even after I called close to the end of the day (for them) to make sure all was well....they said "About to look at it now, I'll call as soon I know something". Last I heard. Called back and no one was there. Drove by and closed. My car was in the same place it was parked at 7:30am. I even waited a few days for the appointment. I wouldn't be mad if they said it was going to have to say there. They did not. All they DID say was we will call you back. Again, they did not. I would think it to be basic customer service to honor your word and at the very least inform your customers of what is going on. Communication goes a long way. Will update after they open again.

Grim, I know it's been a while since you left this review, but I'm hopeful that the team was able to rectify your concerns. Keeping our guests informed on the status of their vehicle is our number one priority here, as is top-notch customer service.
